I've got a couple of complete manuscripts that I think are good--better than much of the stuff my kids read--but I don't know if I can wait out the entire submitting/rejection/publishing thing again. What's to prevent me from just publishing these online as e-books, or even as blog posts? Would that be a good thing, a stupid thing? Would it garner free press or just yawns from the disinterested?
Someone give me an idea.
By the way, The Tilting House is still scheduled to come out in Spring of 2010. Tricycle Press was recently purchased by Random House. Hopefully that's a good thing.
